The movie starts out just as you’d expect of a classic horror movie: the young estate agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult) is sent by his boss, to whom we take an instant dislike, to a remote castle, simply to get the count who lives there to sign a contract… Yet this is a thoroughly modern film, full of suspense, great visuals and brilliant actors, that will agree even with viewers whose nerves are no more steely than average. This is what the big screen is made for!
